Kits
Terms of sale
What you get when you buy a kit, and what happens if it does not work for you.
These terms cover buying a kit from StartupQuickstart, LLC on this site. They are written to be read. The licence in each download says what you may do with the code; these terms cover the sale.
What you are buying
A kit is source code and documentation, delivered as a zip file. You are buying a licence to use that code, not the copyright in it. The full licence is the LICENSE file in the download. In short: use it in as many of your own and your company's projects as you like, including work for clients, and change anything. You may not resell or publish the kit itself.
A bundle is two kits bought together. Each kit in it has the same licence.
Price and payment
Each kit is one payment in US dollars, at the price shown on its page when you buy. There is no subscription. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
Delivery
You can download your kit as soon as payment completes. We also email a download link to the address you paid with. To download again later, go to your kits page, enter that address, and open the link we send.
Updates
Your download link serves the current release of the kit you bought, so you get the fixes and updates we publish for it at no extra charge. We do not promise a schedule of updates or that a kit will be maintained forever.
Refunds
If a kit does not work as its page describes and we cannot fix it, write to hello@startupquickstart.com within 14 days of buying it and we will refund you in full.
Tell us what you ran and what went wrong. We will first try to fix the problem or show you the step that was missed. If we cannot, we refund the payment to the card you paid with. After a refund your licence ends and you must stop using the kit.
Because the code is delivered straight away, we do not refund a kit because you changed your mind or no longer need it. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be waived.
Support
Each kit has a README, guides and a manual testing checklist. Questions about a kit go to hello@startupquickstart.com. We answer by email and do not offer a guaranteed response time. Building your product on top of a kit is your work; if you want us to do it with you, that is our consulting service.
What the kits depend on
The kits are built on services run by other companies, such as Clerk, Stripe, Railway and PostHog. You need your own accounts with the ones a kit uses, and their prices and terms are theirs. Each kit page lists what you need.
No warranty
Each kit page says plainly what we have and have not run ourselves. Beyond that, the kits are provided as they are. We do not promise that a kit is free of defects or fits a particular purpose, and you are responsible for reviewing, testing and securing what you build with it. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for a kit is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the version on this page at the time you buy is the one that applies to your purchase.
