Terms of service

These terms cover your use of startupquickstart.com and the free guides, tools and templates on it. The site is run by StartupQuickstart, LLC ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them.

What these terms cover, and what has its own terms

These terms cover reading the site and using what is free on it. Three things have their own terms, which apply alongside these and win where they differ:

• Buying a kit is covered by the kit terms of sale and the licence in each download.
• Our consulting services (data pipelines, managed websites, AI automation) are covered by the agreement you sign with us for that work.
• Open source code we publish is covered by the licence file in its repository.

Guides, tools and templates

The guides describe how we set things up ourselves. They are general information, not professional, legal, tax or security advice for your situation. Services change their products and prices, so check the vendor's own documentation before you rely on a step.

The design system builder runs in your browser and gives you files to use in your own projects. You may use what it generates in any project, commercial or not. You are responsible for checking the result suits your product, including its accessibility.

Our content

The text, design and images on this site belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. You may link to any page and quote short passages with a link back. Code samples in the guides may be used in your own projects. Please do not republish whole guides or pass the site's content off as your own.

Using the site fairly

Please do not try to break the site, get into parts of it you are not meant to reach, overload it with automated requests, or use it to send spam or anything unlawful. We may block access that does this.

Links to other services

We link to services we use and write about. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms and prices, and we are not responsible for them. Where a link could earn us a commission, the stack page says so.

No warranty

We work to keep the site accurate and available, and we do not promise that it always will be. The site and everything free on it are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or its free content, and our total liability for the site and its free content is limited to one hundred US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have under the kit terms of sale or a signed agreement with us.

Governing law

StartupQuickstart, LLC is a limited liability company organized in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law. Any dispute about them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts. Nothing here takes away rights that the law of the place you live gives you and that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when this version took effect, and the version on this page is the one that applies when you use the site.
